Tsuru is dragged along to a conpa(singles
party) by her friends, and is totally bored there because she hates the
fakeness of everyone there. She notices one boy who looks as unthrilled
as she does, and is saved from kissing a gross guy by him leaving.
The next day she thanks him, and they become friends. Things develop,
but they have problems because Tsuru doesn't know if Chikamatsu(the guy)
just likes her as a friend or wants something more, and she feels like
he always helps her without her giving back anything. It doesn't
help that Tsuru is totally unused to liking someone, and always jokes around
pretending that she doesn't like Chikamatsu. The climax comes when
there's an overnight class trip to the beach, and Tsuru is pushed by her
friends to cement her position as Chikamatsu's "special one"...
