Nice.  Mildly cute, though I had a hard time figuring out what was going to happen and who Satsuki was going to end up with, her fellow student council member Sendou, or Okazaki, the really quiet, almost unfriendly guy whom Satsuki tries to befriend.  It's good, I'm a bit biased because I liked the other guy better(heh heh, no spoilers).

Hoshino Oujisama
First published in the 2000 Ribon Natsuyasumi Otanoshimi Special
Hoshino Ouji is a very...original boy.  He's an alien, and his parents are some sort of royalty, so he wears his 'royal outfit' to school, followed by his helpers, some really cute little animals.  All his classmates are used to his weirdness, but one day a transfer student comes, Himeko, and Ouji falls for her.  She doesn't notice anything weird about him, but converses normally with him, and Ouji is sure they're destined for each other.  This is really short, only 14 pages, and is almost a gag manga.

Gokigen Jouou Summer
First published in Ribon June 2000.
Ooima-sensei's first appearance in Ribon, this tells the story of Hinata-chan.  Takahashi, in another class, is totally in love with her and often confesses his love, but Hinata-chan always rejects him bluntly, saying she doesn't like kids.  She's the cool type, who sees Takahashi as really immature, but Takahashi keeps trying different things, using Ribon for inspiration(he says it's his Love Bible^_^)  But Hinata has other reasons for not wanting a relationship that she even keeps from her best friend Shinobu.  Can she get past her fears without alienating her friends?

Dreammaker '00
First published in Ribon Original April 2000
Possibly my favourite story of Ooima-sensei's so far, it's a tie between this and Kimi no Ticket.  Maki is a high school student who has a cool boyfriend but for some reason feels like she's missing something.  She meets Iwamura, a guy whose dream is to do well at puppet plays and become a children's book writer, and at first thinks he's a total loser.  But she's fascinated at how Iwamura still believes in dreams and wonders if this is what she was looking for.

Kimi no Ticket
Ran in Ribon Original October 1999
Also in the Ribon Shinjin Mangaka Sakushuu #19.
It won Season Best Shouju Shousaku #72.

This was Ooima-sensei's debut story.  I love this story, it is sooo cute,  I couldn't believe it was her debut, because it was so good.  Anyways, the story is that Shinobu, a quiet girl, likes Toyota-kun, a popular guy, and they enter the same second-year class.  Shinobu has liked Toyota-kun ever since he gave her a ticket at last year's school festival, but she has no confidence because he's always surrounded by girls.  She keeps the ticket in her wallet as a good luck charm.  Then, Shinobu gets a seat at the back of the class-right beside Toyota-kun!  What will she do?  They start talking to each other, but sometimes Toyota-kun says things that Shinobu doesn't understand.  Why did he already know her name, and why does he act weird sometimes?  A very cute story.
Interesting note: Hinata-chan, Shinobu's best friend in this story, is the heroine of Ooima-sensei's Ribon debut, Gokigen Jouou Summer.
