Part 1:
A battlefield.  People wearing old-fashioned clothes, medieval-looking.  A long-haired man crying over the dead body of his friend.  An officer looking for them, Seeu and Kagami, thoughts from the dead man: I will stay by your side.  Even if you destroy the world, even if you can't forgive yourself, I will be beside you.  Even if my body is destroyed, this heart will forgive you always...The man's body floats up in the air, and Seeu watches, still crying.
Present-day Japan.  An adopted girl with black hair and blue eyes, Kaguya, walks home with her friends.  She is uncomfortable around strangers because they ask questions that she can't answer: What country is she from, how did she get to Japan?  All she knows is that one night she was found, dirty and bleeding like an orphan of war, and was pronounced to be Kaguya: 4 years old.  She is watched by men, one of whom was the officer from the battlefield, Idou.
At home, her adopted mother makes her deal her tarot card fortune, and as always, the last card is blank.  That night, the family's peaceful life is cut up-her adopted father is accused of embezzlement.  Reporters surround their house.  Kaguya, alone in her room, gets a call on her cel phone from an unknown man who says he will come and get her tonight.  She thinks it's a reporter, but he knows she is an orphan.  Kaguya gets angry and states that she is just an orphan with no skill but she is trying to be of use, and she will protect the family.
From the time she was small, she's had a persistent dream or memory.  In flames, a boy reaches out a hand to a crying Kaguya, even though he was covered in wounds as well, and was missing his left hand.  Because of that boy, Kaguya is determined to become strong, even if she is weak now.
In a public phone booth, a strangely dressed man with flowing hair and a long staff hangs up the phone and slashes the phone machine in half.

Imamade no Hanashi:
 Kaguya is stolen but with interference from Idou, Kaguya and Goold are sent to unknown coordinates on the 4th world.  There they meet Bambi, a beautiful silver-haired girl who seems to have no feelings but is very smart.  In the basement of her castle Raguna haan is frozen, the former ruler of the fourth world. This interlude in the castle is when Kaguya finds out that everyone wants her because she is a legendary princess who will decide what world will survive out of all nine parallel ones.  Bambi explains them.  The people start to look for Kaguya so they escape to the mountains, where they find Waseda, a big chicken(I am serious, this is not a joke).  He used to be a man from the third world(our world), but was transferred to the fourth world and worked with Seeu in his lab when he was practicing transferring souls into other living beings.  He tells them the story of the fourth world, and how he came to be transferred into a chicken.  Kaguya surrenders to the rulers and is supposed to meet with Kura, the seventh world leader, when Seeu appears and takes Gold and Kaguya away to the 2nd world, Asu(Earth).  Kaguya is left all alone for 5 days in the deserted castle, wandering alone and finding all those creepy parts of androids that look like Gold.  She calls on Seeu and he shows up in a hologram.  She asks what his intentions are, and he says she is there so they can protect her.  Kaguya says it's not protection when she has no one to talk to, no one to touch, and only soup to eat all the time, but Seeu disappears.  It's nighttime, and strange noises come closer...
