Part 1 (December 1998):  Komayu is a very inexperienced high-school(I think) student who doesn't know much about boys but is very romantically inclined.  Her older sister is very popular with guys but apparently, Komayu doesn't have the same popularity(at least, not yet).  Her friend, Yone, is a lot more sophisticated and has a boyfriend, Saburo,who has a weird habit of saying Mengo instead of Gomen('sorry').  Komayu really likes Sabu's friend, Takeru, who doesn't seem to be interested in Komayu except as a naive girl to tease.  When the story starts, Komayu is getting ready for school.  When she gets there, she waits at the lockers for Takeru for 10 minutes, and then gives up and leans down to put her shoes in her locker.  Then she hears a sound behind her and is delighted to see Takeru, until she realizes that her skirt rode up and Takeru can see her underwear!  She's totally embarrassed, but Takeru says he's glad noone else saw.  That gets Komayu's heartbeat up, until Takeru says it's because the sight was so frightening.  Then they meet with Hone and Sabu, who has a cold, and it's pretty obvious that both of them want Takeru and Komayu to get together as well.  Hone takes Komayu to the side and shows her a magazine she just got, which has stories of girls' 'experiences', such as kissing, etc.  They read it together in the classroom, and Komayu is embarrassed by some of the stories.  Then Kohayu reads something about a first kiss not tasting like lemon(is it supposed to?) and asks Hone if it's true.  Hone says of course not, and says once Komayu has done it, she'll understand.  Komayu says she wants her first kiss to be romantic, and says it was a shock that won't taste like lemon.  Takeru suddenly pops in and asks what they're talking about, and Komayu says nothing while hiding the magazine in her shirt.  Takeru is trying to get her to take it out, when Sabu 'accidentally' bumps into Takeru, causing Komayu and him to almost kiss.  Takeru jumps away and strangles Sabu(he's mad and blushing) while Komayu just stands and lets off steam.  Takeru says that stuff is only for people you like, which makes Komayu depressed.
    When lunch rolls around, Takeru asks if Komayu knows where Saburou is, but she's mad and says she doesn't know.  She says she's going to eat lunch with Yone, but knocks over her desk, causing all her books to fall on the floor, including...the ecchi magazine.  Takeru picks it up, and checks it out, and then calls Komayu a 'sukebe'(mild pervert).  She snatches it back and says she's a woman, so she's interested in things like that, and Takeru says if she likes stuff like that, she should borrow some even better ones from him.  Komayu asks if it's true, and he says, yeah right, like someone as intellectual as me would have something like that. Komayu laughs and says who's intellectual, and Takeru says finally, you laughed.  He says that she should laugh, or else it's boring, and Komayu thinks that this is why she likes him, and it's his own fault.  They find Sabrou and Hone, and go to eat lunch all together, which makes Komayu really nervous.  While she's eating, Takeru tries her drink, and Komayu blushes because it's an indirect kiss.  Saburou teases Takeru and says so that's what he meant before by kissing being for someone you like, and Takeru denies it.  Then Saburou and Hone leave.  Later, Takeru says he'll throw the can out but Komayu takes it and says she'll do it, but really she's going to save it(yowch, I can remember doing stuff like this, was I that pathetic?).  Then Komayu finds Hone's wallet, so they go to return it to her,but when they see her, she and Saburou are just about to kiss!  Takeru and Komayu scoot around the corner and hide against a wall, but when they freeze, their hands are touching each other! What will happen next? Wait until next month!
 Part 2 (January 1999): Komayu gets angry because Takeru did another indirect kiss with another girl, and Takeru says he won't do that anymore.  He's got a cold, so Komayu takes him to the sickroom.  Takeru gets dizzy and falls on top of Komayu on the bed!

Part 3 (February 1999): Takeru is touching Komayu's chest, and Komayu is passed out from the shock.  Hone and Saburou come in and see the scene and leave, saying take your time, sorry to bother you.  Takeru denies it but they're already gone.  Komayu wakes up and is disappointed because Takeru didn't try anything, and when she tells Hone and Saburou, they can't understand it either.  Komayu is walking alone later, about it, when she runs into a friend from her old class, Sei.  He says she's gotten cute and asks if she has a boyfriend.  She likes someone, and Sei asks her to go out with him!  Komayu says didn't you hear, I like someone already, and Sei says, yeah, but it's a one-way love right?  If she goes out with him, they'll have a shared love, and asks if she dislikes him.  Komayu says no, but she likes him as a friend.  Sei says then he'll try to change that into as a boyfriend and kisses her temple.  Saburou and Hone are watching, wondering what's going on.  Later, Sei shows up and asks to borrow 150Y, and then pulls Komayu along with him.  She says she's sorry but her heart and body is full of thoughts of the one she likes, so she can't go out with him, and Sei asks her to sometimes think of him too.  She says okay, as a FRIEND, and he kisses her cheek.  Komayu trips and Sei catched her but is touching her breast.  He lets her go but says if she wanted to, he wouldn't mind kissing and doing other stuff.  He leaves and Komayu wonders why her heart is pounding when she doesn't like him, and then she sees Takeru, and thinks that after all, he's the only one for her.  After school, Sei shows up and says let's go home together in front of Takeru, Hone, and Saburou.  He's pushing himself on Komayu again when Takeru stops him.  Then Sei asks Takeru if he likes Komayu!  Sei says he likes Komayu, so if Takeru can't answer clearly, then he should leave them alone, and takes off with Komayu.  Komayu wants to say goodbye after they've gotten to her house, but Sei asks if he can have something to drink, so he comes in.  They're all alone, and  Komayu thinks that she has to be careful not to let the mood get serious.  She's changing out of her school uniform when Sei comes in and sees her without a shirt!
Part 4 (March 1999): Komayu and Sei are in Komayu's room. Sei has just interrupted Komayu changing. Komayu tries to make him leave, but he doesn't and instead pushes Komayu down on the bed! Komayu's sister comes home right then, so Komayu is safe for a while longer, but Sei pulls Komayu to him and feels her bottom befo re he leaves. Komayu is really pissed off, and she's in the bath wishing that the scene before had been with Takeru instead. She makes up her mind to confess her love to Takeru.
Outside, Takeru(who accidentally is walking past, meets up with Sei on the way out. They exchange a few words, and Takeru is walking past Sei when Sei tells him that Komayu has a nice chest that 'feels nice'.
Komayu has just gotten out of the bath, and is going to ask her sister for the best way to confess, when she comes face to face(she's in a towel) with Takeru! Komayu tries to escape but Takeru wants to talk to her, and he reaches out and accidentally grabs her towel away. A minute or two later, Komayu's sister walks in on them trying to get Komayu's towel back on. Komayu drags Takeru upstairs before her sister can embarrass her, and tells Takeru to wait while she chang es. Komayu briefly considers confessing to Takeru in the towel(and then taking it off for Takeru's easy access)but decides not to(this is after all, Ribon!) She changes and enters her room, asking Takeru what he wanted to talk about. Trying to keep his eyes off her chest, Takeru asks what her relationship is with Sei, and says he met him outside. Komayu says it's nothing, and Takeru asks if she normally lets just anybody touch her chest. Komayu tries to think of a way to explain, and suddenly grabs Takeru's hand and brings it to her chest. She says he's the only one she wants to have doing that, and asks if he still doesn't believe her. Then she realizes she forgot her bra, and Takeru squeezes. Komayu squeals, and Takeru says if she doesn't want him to do that she shouldn't have put his hand there. Komayu says fine then, I like you, and if it makes you like me,do what you like, and starts to take off her shirt, but Takeru stops her, saying he likes her already. He hugs her, telling her not to be such good friends with Sei because it makes him jealous. Komayu asks him if he really does like her, and Takeru says of course. Then he asks if he can kiss her, and leans in...

Part 5(April 1999): Takeru and Komayu are about to kiss, but Komayu pushes him away because she thinks she has something in her teeth. She goes away to brush her teeth, and Takeru says he’s going to leave. Komayu doesn’t understand and asks if he’s mad, and he says no. Komayu asks about the kiss, and he says next time. He leaves, and Komayu’s sister calls her an idiot, saying she broke the mood. To get ready for ‘the next time’, Komayu reads an article about kissing and prctices on her stuffed bunny.
The next day at school, Komayu is excited about seeing Takeru again, and can’t stop thinking about kissing. She imagines them being a couple, and all the girls being jealous, and getting the prize for Best Couple. She spots Takeru, and thinks that he’s gotten cooler overnight. She wonders if it’s because their love progressed, and thinks that maybe when you’re in love with a guy he seems better than when you just like him. She thinks if that’s the case, then when they finally do kiss, Takeru will seem like a prince on a white horse. She imagines herself getting prettier as well, when she sees a girl go up to Takeru. It’s the friendly girl from before, and Komayu is dismayed when she hugs Takeru after he gives her a CD. Komayu wonders if he’s going to cheat on her with that girl, and imagines him confessing that they’re lovers, and dumping her. Komayu is in her own world of suspicion and despair when Sei comes up behind her and kisses her on the cheek. She doesn’t notice him, and Sei takes the opportunity to look up her skirt. He comments that they’re pastel pink, and Komayu finally notices and yells at him. That attracts Takeru’s attention, and he asks Komayu what she’s doing(she’s beating up Sei). The other girl, Nanato, says Komayu must be Sei’s girlfriend. Komayu begins to deny it but Sei agrees, and asks if Nanato is also going out with Takeru. Nanato says yes, and Takeru says they’re not. Nanato says let’s start now, because she likes Takeru. She says he doesn’t have a girlfriend so it’s okay, and he says she shouldn’t say that so frivolously. Komayu asks in her head why Takeru didn’t say he was going out with her, and thinks that he must like Nanato...

   Part 6(May 1999): Takeru and Nanako walk away after her asking him out, and Komayu is shocked.  Sei wonders aloud if Takeru and Nanae are actually going out, and suggests that he and Komayu do the same.  He says he’s better than Takeru, and Komayu says Takeru’s better, which Sei sulks over for a bit.  She asks why Nanae doesn’t have a boyfriend already if she’s so pretty , and asks if she has a bad personality, but Sei says not at all.  Komayu doesn’t know how she can get Nanae to give up on Takeru, and thinks maybe she could tell Nanae about Takeru’s bad points  so Nanae wouldn’t like him.  Yone and Sabu appear, congratulating Komayu on her new relationship and asking how Takeru confessed, but Komayu says she has to go talk to someone and runs off.  Yone and Sabu discuss what might have happened, when Takeru enters and runs into Sabu.  Sabu grabs him and he and Yone drag Takeru to the classroom for an interrogation.  <BR> Komayu has arrived at Nanae’s classroom, and puts on fake glasses and nose, and prepares to put her plan into action, but then can’t think of anything bad to say about Takeru.  She starts to retreat when she sees Nanae with another boy.  She wonders who he is because Nanae seems really friendly with him.  Then she sees Nanae drink from his can, which shocks her.  She asks some nearby girls if they’re going out, and they say no.  Nanae is really popular and has been asked out by many guys, but refused them all.  Then Nanae spots her, and comes over.  She thinks that Komayu is Sei’s girlfriend, and asks if she came for Sei.  Komayu stops her, asking if she really likes Takeru.  It doesn’t seem like Nanae is listening, because she suddenly reaches out and feels Komayu’s chest!  She says Komayu has a pretty big chest, and Komayu freaks.  Nanae asks if she felt anything, and Komayu then wonders if Nanae is a lesbian.  Komayu tries to calm down and finally asks Nanae to stop liking Takeru.  She says that she can’t believe that Nanae had an indirect kiss with someone after saying she liked Takeru.  Komayu would never do that.  Having said that, Komayu runs off, but comes back for a second to tell Nanae that she is NOT going out with Sei.
     When Komayu tells Yone and Sabu that Nanae is her rival, they ask suspiciously if Takeru really confessed to her.  Takeru shows up and asks Sabu to get something with him, and when his and Komayu’s eyes meet, she turns away angrily.  Sabu says he can’t go and says Komayu can go with him instead.  In the hall, Komayu ignores Takeru and walks far away from him.  He asks her if she’s mad about something, and Komayu says he should be able to figure it out himself.  He thinks, and guesses it’s because they never kissed last night.  Komayu denies this loudly, and starts to talk to him, but is interrupted by Nanae.  She has brought back Komayu’s disguise, and asks Takeru what his relationship is with her.  Takeru blushes and stammers, and Nanae asks if it’s a purely physical thing.  Takeru runs into a wall while Komayu gets a nosebleed, and Takeru says it’s not like that yet.  Nanae hones in on the ‘yet’, and smiles.  Komayu tells Nanae that Takeru is her boyfriend, and says since Nanae isn’t going out with him, not to say she likes him.  Nanae says ok.  She says she was just joking that morning, and Takeru understood.  Takeru asks Komayu if she was mad over that, and Nanae tells Takeru that he should have told Komayu.  Even though he probably thinks that Komayu will understand, sometimes love has to be communicated through words.  She says Komayu was hurt that morning, and then brings Takeru’s hand to Komayu’s chest, asking him to feel the hurt.  She then says to Takeru that Komayu has a pretty big chest, and laughs, saying now they have a physical relationship.  She walks away, saying she already had one with Komayu, leaving Takeru to droolingly ask Komayu if it’s true, which she denies.  Takeru apologizes to Komayu and they walk off holding hands.  Komayu thinks that the contact with Takeru made her fears disappear, and wonders if it’s the power of love.  They walk to the supplies room but there’s someone there already.  It’s Nanae, and she’s talking to someone, asking if she can go to his apartment.  He says okay, but not to answer the doorbell or phone.  Komayu and Takeru peer closer as Nanae leans in and kisses a teacher!
 
Part 7 (June 1999): Komayu and Takeru are spying on Nanae and a teacher(Tsutsui) from the doorway.  They push each other to get a better view, and wonder if the lovers are going to continue(things are getting pretty hot and heavy).  Komayu trips and sends both of them sprawling through the door, into full view.  Komayu is shocked at how disarranged Nanae's clothes are, and stutters out that they just came to get a map.  Tsutsui starts to try to explain, but Takeru stops him.  He tells him he'd better not be treating his relationship with Nanae lightly just because she's an elementary student(at most, Gr. 9!).  Takeru says they can still fall in real love and be serious at that age.  Tsutsui says he doesn't think of it lightly, he sees Nanae as a woman, and he loves her!  Nanae tells the two of them to take the map and leave them alone, because they want to keep going.  When the door closes behind Komayu and Takeru, Nanae kisses Tsutsui on the cheek and thanks him.  
    In the hall, Komayu is totally worked-up about what she just found out, she talks about how unbelievable it is and what a scandal it would be if it was discovered.  Takeru nonchalantly says it's not likely, they've been going out for a year.  Komayu is astounded that Takeru already knew, and wonders what they'll do at his apartment then.  Takeru is sure that they'll have sex, and Komayu tells him not to say it so bluntly.  Komayu reflects that them getting excited over just a kiss seems silly now, and Takeru suggests that they go farther as well, and drags her into a deserted classroom!  He starts to kiss her, and Komayu doesn't know what to do.  She asks what would happen if someone came, and Takeru asks if she doesn't want to.  Komayu replies that it's not that, but this is school, and well, they just shouldn't.  Takeru pulls back and pats her on the head, heading for the door.  Komayu stops him, burying her face in his sweater.  Takeru, blushing, asks what's wrong, aned Komayu says she wants to stay with him a little longer, and Takeru seriously agrees.  Komayu thinks that she's being a hypocrite; even though she stopped Takeru she really wanted to keep going.  She tells Takeru he can kiss her, and is surprised to see Takeru blush!  Komayu is horrified that Takeru must think her easy or something, and starts to refuse again, but Takeru says he was stopped yesterday, and now he'll do it even if she says he shouldn't.  Komayu tells him to wait, and asks what will happen if they kiss.  Takeru thinks their bond  will grow stronger, and Komayu imagines having a really good relationship with Takeru.  Takeru, waiting, asks if there's anything else she wants to ask before he kisses her, and Komayu wonders aloud if it feels good.  Takeru says he's never done it before either so he doesn't know, but of course it will feel good because they like each other.  He looks down and asks if she's afraid, and Komayu says no, because she likes him, and thinks that kissing and things like that will further their relationship.
    Komayu has her eyes closed waiting, and Takeru, leaning in, tells himself to calm down, it's only touching lips, there's nothing to worry about...
"Ow!"  Komayu wonders what happened, and remembers being told that the first time hurts(that's not for kisses! ;) Takeru is off in his own world of failure, and he reveals that they hit teeth!  Komayu asks if it's over already, and Takeru, blushing in embarrassment, says, yes, but...
    Komayu, though she didn't feel much, is very happy and congratulates herself on taking another step toward womanhood.  Takeru thinks that it doesn't really matter, at least Komayu's happy(though he's depressed), and the bell goes.
    In class, Yone asks if something happened because Komayu's eyes have been perma-sparkle ever since she got back.  Komayu thinks that she should tell Yone since she's her best friend and writes her a note.  Yone reads it, and exclaims out loud.  The teacher(he looks...interesting) asks if something's wrong, and Yone covers it up.  She writes one back, asking how it was, and gets one back saying it hurt but it felt good because her heart was in it.  She quickly writes one back, asking jokingly if it was lemon-flavoured, and Komayu realizes with dismay that she can't remember what it tasted like!
    After class, Yone finds out that they hit teeth and snickers, saying that Takeru was a little too forceful, and remarks that that's not very romantic, sending Komayu into a black pit of despair.  She cheers up quickly when Yone says there'll be lots of kisses that feel better, and Komayu dances around saying that everyone looks so young now that she's a real woman.  Yone suggests that next time they do a deep kiss, and when she explains what it is(French kiss)Komayu is appalled.  She wonders what will happen to her if Takeru deep kisses her...

Part 8 (July 1999):
Komayu is looking in the mirror, trying to see if she looks different.  She doesn't want her sister to find out that she kissed.  She wonders aloud if kissing in Grade 8 is early, and from the doorway her sister says it's normal, BUT she warns Komayu that after you let a guy kiss you once, he'll try to go as far as he can as fast as he can, and if she doesn't want to be thought of as easy, she has to be careful.  Even though Komayu says Takeru is 'the one', she shouldn't even think about having sex with him yet.  She's still just a kid, and she should only go as far as kissing for now. (The rest will be up soon, I promise!)
 
Part 9(August 1999): Komayu meets Sayaka, a childhood friend of Takeru's who he used to like and might have done stuff with.  She's really jealous, but when Takeru asks her to trust him, she does.  Later, Sayaka tells Takeru that she saw Komayu kiss another guy, but Takeru still won't go out with her.  He doesn't say anything to Komayu, but talks to Saburo about it, saying he can't stand the thought of another guy kissing Komayu.  Saburo guesses correctly that Sei probably forces Komayu to kiss him, and tells Takeru that he has to protect Komayu, or else Sei will steal her.  Takeru swears that he will.  Back in the classroom, Komayu is feeling down because of her kiss with Sei and because of Sayaka.  She wonders what secrets Sayaka knows about Takeru that she doesn't, but cheers up thinking about her and Takeru in love and deepening their relationship.  When Takeru calls her to go home together, she's pretty giddy.  They encounter Sei, and Takeru possessively embraces Komayu.  After school, Komayu hears a song that she likes, and Takeru says she can borrow the CD from him.  He says to come to his house to get it, and Komayu is sure that he has ulterior motives.
