![]() Sasaya Yuu -an admitted 'country girl', in the city for university, and at first she has no real friends, though she does know some of the customers at the noodle shop she works at. Her classmates make fun of her behind her back because she is really unfashionable. One day, her classmate brings her to a play and she loves it. The actor who she liked the best, Touya, brings her to his old troupe, and she joins them, as an actress and then a scriptwriter. She always keeps in touch with Touya, and is planning to write a one-man play for him. She doesn't hide any of her emotions, and always shows when she's happy, depressed, or moved. Ichii Touya - an up-and-coming stage actor, Touya is popular with female theatre-goers. He is very good at acting, and moves into TV as well as the stage. He is still friends with Danchou, and comes to talk with him sometimes. He also comes to like Yuu, he says she always makes him feel better when he's frustrated about a part. Sometimes he's moody. Danchou -he is a veteran of the theatre scene, and is a good teacher to Yuu. He always has a cigarette hanging from his mouth, and usually squints. He's very good at writing scripts, though sometimes he gets lazy. He is hard to read, but is generally an easy-going guy.
Other girl - Yuu fnds her on the street while writing a play and though she's not an actress, Yuu asks her to be in it. She has a really good voice, but lacks self-confidence beside Misore, and then later performing a role that Touya did before. Kina - Touya's ex-girlfriend, she's a beautiful but snobby model who quits to work as Touya's manager. She looks down on the theatre, seeing it as only a stepping stone to TV. She doesn't like Yuu and still wants to rekindle her relationship with Touya. Kazuma Rin - a playwright/actor/director who is somewhat of a legend in the theatre community, Kazuma Rin is famous for doing innovative work. He is very confident, and likes Yuu, though at first he doesn't see her as his equal. He asks Touya to be in his play, and Touya finds it a challenge but enjoys it. Touya is jealous of his acquaintance with Yuu, though I don't think either of them think anything of it. Yuu's fake friend - she brings Yuu to her first play because no one else could come. She is a fan of Touya's and is probably jealous of Yuu for being friends with him. She thinks of Yuu as a little country girl and can't understand when people start to respect her. She always uses Yuu for class notes. Yuu's real friend - a customer from Yuu's work, she has talent in acting but is only interested in working as a theatre makeup artist. She is nice to Yuu and helps her get more fashionable, and also gives Yuu her old phone. Yuu's grandparents - They raised Yuu, and Yuu still talks to her grandmother's portrait about her dreams for the future. Other playwright- the dishonest and snobby scriptwriter who steals one of Yuu's plays, he is unpleasant to people he sees as below him, including his actors and other playwrights. |
