Here's a little run-down on the characters and idea behind Hareluya II BOY.

Hibino Hareluya-the main character of the series. He just started school at Rakuen High. He came in late because at the entrance ceremony, he beat up three guys and got suspended.He is loud, loves to fight, pretty much the total opposite of Kyoushirou. However, pick on Kyoushirou and you're in trouble. He always introduces himself as the 'muteki otoko', or invincible man, and no one's proved him wrong yet :)

Okamoto Kyoushirou-Hibino's best friend and first acquaintance at Rakuen. He is very short(I would guess under 5') but he never lets that stop him from taking on the bad guys. He's very idealistic, and can never witness an injustice without trying to stop it, which gets him beat up a lot. He wants to study in France to be a painter, and has a part-time construction job for this purpose(even though it's forbidden at his school).

Yamana Michiru-She also goes to high school with Hibino and Okamoto. She makes silver jewelry and sells it by the road, which is how Okamoto and Hibino first meet her. She's very friendly and open, and has a thing for Okamoto ^_^

Ichijou Makoto-He's in the same class as Hibino

and Okamoto, but they don't notice him for a while because he's so quiet in class. He was a gang boss in middle school, so he has a reputation, but now all he wants to do is b a rock musician. He has a really popular band called Fire Guns, and for his shows he spikes his hair and dons a leather jacket. Suteki ne? His ultimate move uses a metal guitar pick.

Bob-jiisan-He's a local bum who lives in the park and makes some money by painting portraits. He has a cat, Picasso, and later it's discovered that he's actually a famous painter who quit after his wife died. He takes Okamoto under his wing and they become good friends.

Momiyama Shouzou-He ruled the school until Hibino showed up. He has his own gang of hangers-on, and can call up more when he needs to. He looks about 30, though he's only 18, and he's really proud of his 1960 Ford Impala, which he thinks impresses girls. Honjou Yuuichi

Honjou Yuuichi-He was the captain of the school's baseball team, but was framed for attacking a teammate and kicked off the team a year ago. Now whoever did it is back again, and Honjou is trying to stop them.

Hibino loves to fight, and his life's dream is world conquest. At least once a show, he will show his 'son-of-god'liness by pulling out some implement from his back and proceeding to beat up the bad guys with it. It can be a net, a baseball, a frying pan, a guitar...

There are 25 episodes in this show. It was shown on night-late television in the 1997 season. All the show's songs are sung by a rock group, Spyke(sometimes they sing in the show as Ichijou's band), and I really like them.
